Chairman of the ITF Umpires & Tournament Committee
Would you like to be a part of the ITF Umpires course? We need some competitors to practice our judging. Only light sparring is required and some patterns. This is open to all grades but black belts are preferred. Please email Master McPhail if you can help. For those interested in tournaments, this is a great opportunity to experience an ITF Umpires course.
Course participants please note that the ITF Umpires Rules and Pocket Rules manuals are available for purchase at the course for NZ$40.
Venue: Retailready Building, 68 Westney Road, Mangere. 8.30am - 5.30 pm
All participants should have received an email from Mr Eccles. Please let us know if you have not.

LIMIT OF 40 PEOPLE - REGISTER NOW
We are very lucky to have Master Alberto Katz conduct an ITF Recognised
Umpires course here in New Zealand. We are also lucky that ITFNZ and ITF
TAEKWON-DO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011 LIMITED have funded this course. The course fee you pay is to cover incidental
costs such as venue and equipment hire. Don't miss this opportunity to
become a qualified ITF Umpire.
The reason we have received financial support to run this course to
to make sure we have plenty of ITF training officials for the 2011 World
Championships in Wellington. We all need to pitch in to make that event
a success, so the first thing you can do is to register for this course.
We are hoping for all ITFNZ umpires to participate, as well as members
from Australia who will also be here for the IIC.

Master Alberto Katz, Chairman
of the ITF Umpires & Tournament Committee, will conduct an ITF
Umpires course on Monday 8th March 2010. See
Master Katz's CV here.
This is very exciting news and will enable members from both New
Zealand and Australia to become ITF qualified as umpires (B & A
Grade), ahead of the ITF World Champs which are being held in Wellington
the following year.
The Umpires Course is open to all BLACK BELTS plus any ITFNZ qualified
umpires. (NOTE: Normally the ITF Umpires courses are open to black
belt only. Because in New Zealand we have umpires that are not
black belts, the ITF have given permission for non-black belts
to attend.
Those that attend the course are then qualified to apply for an
ITF B Grade (1st - 3rd dan) or A Grade (4th dan+) Umpires Certificates
(separate fee applies). |
