TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE REMINDERS
i) It is the responsibility of the organiser of any ITFNZ Tournament
to provide headgear for use by competitors. Ideally enough headgear
will be provided by the host club/region to cover double the maximum
number of sparring competitors that may be actively competing at
any one time ie if there are 3 rings then six persons will be competing
at any one time plus another six preparing that also need headgear.
If clubs/regions are short on headgear than make sure you arrange
to get some additional in time for the tournament - competitors
can be encouraged to bring their own as well via a simple note on
the entry form.
(ii) Organisers of tournaments are responsible for the
receiving of entries and preparing the draw for the event.
The on-line registration system can be made available to
organisers (contact Mr N Breen) but Mr and Mrs Breen will
not be involved in any way with the actual preparation of
draws.
(ii) Black sparring equipment, including black headgear, is
legal for use in ITFNZ Tournaments as an alternative to red
or blue.
(iii) Dipped foam sparring gear is illegal (ie cannot be worn)
from 2010 onwards.
(iv) Organisers must ensure that qualified first aid personnel
are present for the duration of the tournament. For small scale
inter-club events a first aid certified instructor or club member
will suffice, however for Star Series/Regionals/National/any other
event external providers such as St Johns or Red Cross etc must
be present"
