The 2007 South Island Regional Tournament was organised by Mr Grant
Evans and on the 5th and 6th of May and took place at Villa Maria College
in Christchurch. It all commenced on Friday night with volunteers arriving
at the venue to set up for the weekend ahead. The region’s brand
new mats were put to use as we constructed the three rings – somewhat
painstakingly, as there was a little confusion over how big they should
be, how we were going to fit them into the do-jang and in addition the
oh-so-fun task of labelling each and every one of them.
