ALL SUPPORT THIS WORTHWHILE CAUSE!

Dear Students
By now, your instructor would have told you about my Community Service
Project. I hope you will take the opportunity to give blood in your local
area. If you have done so already, thank you for your contribution. To
find out the where in your local area you can donate blood, please call
0800 448 325 or visit www.nzblood.co.nz
Giving blood is easier than breaking a wet board in the middle of winter
or doing a 2.4k run.
The need for blood is constant, 162,000 whole blood units a year is
required over a 12 month period to meet clinical needs in New Zealand– if
this supply is not continually replenished there is a serious risk to
those who are dependant on blood and blood derivatives.
This is a worthwhile cause; please support the New Zealand Blood Service.
NZBS is the sole supplier of blood products to hospitals in New Zealand.
One donor can save up to 3 lives. 80% of the population will need blood
or blood product in their lifetime. By donating blood you effectively
save a life – it’s a gift of LIFE, that’s got to be
a good thing.
This, as you will agree is a worthwhile cause, which ITFNZ members nationwide
can support, contribute and help the wider New Zealand Community. What
a great way to help those in need.
And for your good deed, you are entitled to (1) contribution credit
point for your efforts. Make sure you visit ITFNZ’s website and
complete your details online to qualify. Also, remember to tell your
family, friends, work colleagues, schoolmates and even your neighbour
about donating blood. They too can give their details online as a contributor.
This will provide real time statistics on how many people have donated
through ITFNZ.
