The ITFNZ logo is a registered trademark in New Zealand owned by the International Taekwon-Do Foundation of New Zealand Inc. The ITF and ITF Tree logos are owned by the International Taekwon-Do Federation, and the International Taekwon-Do Foundation of New Zealand Inc is responsible for their use in New Zealand. ITFNZ members are permitted to use the logos on club documents, tracksuits or other materials. For commercial purposes please obtain written permission to use these logos from the secretary prior to their use.

ITFNZ Usage Guidelines

The following information addresses the correct treatment of the ITFNZ Brand for use in advertising, promotion and other printed, Web, or visual materials.

General Guidelines

The ITFNZ Brand may only be used in connection with the promotion of ITFNZ Clubs & Events & as an of indication sponsorship & for no other purpose unless written permission is obtained from Marketing Committee Director. Do not modify or re-create the ITFNZ Brand under any circumstances. Use the artwork provided by International Tae Kwon Do Foundation of New Zealand.

The ITFNZ Brand
The ITFNZ Brand, consisting of the ITFNZ logotype in a circular formation with writing based around the outer, and Korean characters established in the middle of the circular figure, is illustrated to the right. Shown below it are correct color treatments in colour and lineart.

Whenever possible, the ITFNZ Brand should be presented in its full-color version.

Always use the authorized electronic logo artwork provided by International Tae kwon Do Foundation of New Zealand.

Minimum Size and Staging Requirements
The ITFNZ Brand is most effective when surrounded by a significant but not excessive amount of open space. A minimum area of:

5mm (left hand side)
5.5mm (right hand side)
3.5mm (top)
2mm (bottom)

Unobstructed clear space, as demonstrated in the diagram to the right, must surround the brand in all situations.

Minimum Size
The ITFNZ logo type lettering within based at the extreme bottom of the logo should never be reproduced at sizes smaller than 21mm.

INCORRECT Use of the ITFNZ Brand:

« DO NOT change the position of the symbol in relation to the logotype.
« DO NOT alter or re-set the lettering in the logotype.
« DO NOT position text of graphic elements within the minimum clear space required around the artwork.
« DO NOT print the logo in unauthorized colors.
« DO NOT alter the size relationship of the symbol and the logotype.
« DO NOT place the logo within a holding frame or shape
« DO NOT place the logo on a visually distracting background.
« DO NOT use the circular symbol of the logotype alone.
« DO NOT place the logo on a background which does not provide sufficient contrast.

Basically: leave the image in its most purest form & DO NOT alter.

Color Requirements

Preserving the Integrity of the Logo Design

The ITFNZ Brand is designed so as to “sit ” over a background. Authorised ITFNZ logo artwork in the form of a JPEG file will have a “built-in” white background. Always place these types of logo versions over backgrounds in like color to avoid the appearance of a solid box encompassing the logo itself. EPS and tif versions have a transparent white for use over coloured backgrounds.
